Steve has helped guide Optimum Technologies since the company’s inception. For over 30 years, Steve has played an integral role in nearly every facet of the business. His responsibilities as President are far reaching and put him in contact with all the people and departments of the company. Steve’s ability to listen carefully and thoughtfully assess all the needs and challenges of the company make him a valuable member of the executive team.
Lewis McDermott began working at Optimum Technologies following graduation from Emory University, where he studied economics, marketing, and management. Over the past thirty years, Lewis has turned his small family business into an internationally acclaimed company with a broad catalogue of products and strong relationships with nearly all the major flooring retailers in the world. Lewis is still highly involved in all aspects of Optimum Technologies, including finance, marketing, management, new product analysis, and packaging. When not leading Optimum, Lewis also enjoys collecting art and antiques.
Vicki joined Optimum Technologies over 25 years ago and has worked closely with Lewis and Steve to steer the company toward national and international growth. With an undergraduate degree in international studies from Emory University and a law degree from Emory Law School, Vicki brings a well-rounded perspective to the company’s management team. She deftly manages Optimum’s legal department and human resources department and is a strong voice within the company.
Sean has been with Optimum Technologies for over 25 years. Under Sean’s sales leadership, Optimum has placed its products on store shelves in many of the largest home and flooring retailers in the world. Sean has contributed to Optimum’s success through building strong relationships based on integrity and trust with retail buyers, business owners, flooring experts, architects, and many others. Sean’s responsibilities at Optimum include overseeing the company’s sales department and managing marketing, forecasting, projections, and budgets. Sean graduated from Auburn University and has over 35 years of professional sales experience under his belt.
As Assistant Director of Operations at Optimum Technologies, Ford is involved in almost all aspects of the company. Current projects include implementing a production and inventory tracking system, developing pricing structure, and many others. Ford is a graduate of the University of Alabama, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management with a specialization in Supply Chain Logistics, as well as a Master’s Degree in Operation Management with a focus on Decision Analytics.
Cheryl Mason keeps all the cogs turning at Optimum Technologies. She answers the phone, handles invoicing, enters orders, assists the human resources department, and much more. Cheryl has been a customer service specialist at Optimum for over 15 years and has worked in the field of customer service for over 35 years. Cheryl possesses a deep understanding of all of the company’s products and is an invaluable member of the team.
Three generations of family are employed at Optimum Technologies. We take great pride in our roots, and our close-knit culture is evident in all that we do - whether here in Cartersville, GA, or in one of the 30+ countries where we do business.
Our non-toxic flooring products are safe to use even in places with vulnerable populations, like schools and hospitals. We also manufacture products that are recyclable.
We don’t outsource! Instead, we manufacture many of our most popular products right here in the United States at our 250,000 square foot manufacturing and warehouse facility in Cartersville, Georgia.
